Advanced Democracy the Only Path Forward, Asserts NC President Deuba

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized that the only option for democracy is an advanced form of democracy. Speaking at a program organized by the NC on the 48th National Unity and Reconciliation Day, the former Prime Minister urged vigilance against efforts to create a murky environment against democracy.
Deuba noted the rarity of a shared stance on democracy despite competition and ideological differences among political parties in Nepal. He praised the unity on democratic values, considering it a positive practice.
During the event, Deuba highlighted the positive impact of NC founding member BP Koirala's policies on issues of nationality. He described BP Koirala as a towering leader from a small country and emphasized the relevance of BP's ideology, national unity, and reconciliation policies in the present context.
